Sanctity of Life

I heard it said once, “I don’t know what a woman is thinking
when she has an abortion.” This I can say—she is not thinking
clearly. She is in a place where she feels completely hopeless;
she doesn’t think she can handle giving life to a child in her
situation. There are many reasons a person contemplates
having an abortion. The simple truth is, abortion kills an
unborn child. Life is precious. Life is a gift. God is the creator of every living thing. God does
not make mistakes. It is a fact, if something can grow, it is alive. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us God
knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. Psalm 139:13-15 tells us God knows
us completely even before we are born. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us he has a plan and purpose for
our lives—everyone’s life—even the life of an unborn child.

A person may think having an abortion gets rid of a problem and when it’s over, it’s over. The
fact is, it never goes away. An abortion changes time forever. There will come a day when the
memory of having an abortion will be faced again and when the reality of the choice of having
an abortion is fully realized, it can have life-long devastating effects. The effects of having an
abortion can surface even 20, 30 or more years later, all the while affecting your life even
subconsciously. Statistics show that abortions are performed in this country at a rate of a
million every year in the United States alone, meaning almost 3000 abortions are being
performed every day in this country at a rate of about one abortion every 30 seconds, and
these are only the abortions that are reported. (https://www.guttmacher.org/fact-sheet/induced-
abortion-united-states). If a child is killed after birth, a moral outcry is heard around the world.
Yet, killing unborn children happens every day, legally.

We are advocates for Sanctity of Life in every area of life including raising awareness of the
perpetuating effects of domestic abuse that in some cases lead to abortion. The suicide rate of
women who have had an abortion is almost six times higher than those women who have
given birth to their children, all of which are preventable.

We invite you to join us in prayer and becoming a light in the darkness of this world where
killing unborn life has become an epidemic, not only in this country but around the world.
Don't remain silent. Let your voice be heard!

If you or someone you know is facing an unplanned pregnancy, we want you to know there is
help available. Look for a pregnancy resource center in your area who will help with
alternatives to abortion. If you are unable to find one, contact us. We will help you find one.

If you or someone you know has been personally affected by abortion, know that no matter
what your circumstances are there is hope. Jesus loves you and has a plan and purpose for
your life, plans with a future and a hope.
